Blue Summit Construction started in 2008, acting as labour only for group housing projects after the Christchurch earthquakes. Michael and the Blue Summit team quickly saw just how complicated the group housing build process was. Clients struggled to speak with a project manager and often they were left completely out of the loop, feeling overwhelmed and stressed.
Seeing that for others, building – a process which should be exciting and enjoyable was quite the opposite, became the turning point for Blue Summit. We left the group housing market and started working closely with clients delivering excellent service.

Often mistaken for Bob the Builder, Michael now only wears his hardhat on site. He loves to spin a yarn and with over two decades in construction he’s got a story and a solution for everything building related. He’s always calm and collected, and can often be found biking, running or with a fishing rod in hand.
Only one question remains – Can he fix it? Yes, Michael can!

Jordan has been with Blue Summit for three years. His co-workers describe him as the ‘nice Foreman’.
He enjoys the creative side of building and how he has been encouraged to up-skill and grow at Blue Summit. A foreman with many hats, when he’s not hard at work he’s regretfully Oscars life coach and occasionally the on-site mechanic.

Cody enjoys working outside. His least favourite thing about the job is bad weather. He spends his weekends on the rugby fields and the occasional day at home with his unwanted cat, Billy.
